Lydia Radke | LCSW

Lydia had the unique opportunity to experience multiple cultures as a young person.  After college, she worked at an agency assisting Lao, Hmong, Vietnamese, and Cambodian refugees arriving in the United States.  Lydia realized she wanted to do more to make the world a better place and pursued her Master's in Social Work degree.  During this time, she had three life-changing internships:  one working with Asylees from across the globe, another at a drop-in Center for unhoused youth in an urban setting, and a third providing counseling to youth. When she moved to Oregon, she volunteered at HomePlate for Youth, worked at a Community Mental Health agency serving people experiencing psychosis for 7 years, then transitioned to a Parole and Probation Officer on the Mental Health Team, which also works with people experiencing psychosis.

As a result of these diverse experiences, Lydia recognizes that people are profoundly resilient and amazing.  She finds joy meeting with people from all backgrounds and welcomes the opportunity to listen and understand their experiences.

In her free time, Lydia enjoys anything outdoors, welcoming people to her home, hanging out with her husband, four grown boys and her goofy dogs, visiting horses and alpacas, and reading great books.
